Miguel Ordóñez
Bio
Miguel studied illustration in Madrid and graphic design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. After finishing his studies, his entire professional life has been dedicated to graphic art. He has worked with many studios, agencies and publishing companies over the years.
Miguel currently has his own studio in Madrid, where he combines his work in graphic design and illustration.
His internationally acclaimed illustrations have appeared in publications such as The Herald Tribune (UK), Elle Magazine (France), El País (Spain), La Vanguardia (Spain) and Público (Spain). Miguel has also illustrated numerous books for publishers such as Hachette, Santillana, RBA, Barcanova, Edelvives and Edebé.

In Marina and the Little Green Boy, a little girl with an overactive imagination discovers that a strange little boy has been living in her attic. Marina will have to take care of this little green boy with two antennae and enormous eyes, who speaks just like a telephone. She'll teach her new friend all about the world she lives in, all while trying to convince her family that she hasn't gone crazy.
This is the first title in a bilingual series designed to teach children all about the world they live in. Children and adults alike will laugh out loud at Marina and her new friend's adventures, while learning new vocabulary in English and Spanish. Marina and the Little Green Boy also promotes the integration of those who are different, an important issue in today's changing world.

What are your most interesting travel experiences:
I believe you can discover new things even on the shortest of trips, so I try to keep my eyes wide open even when I'm taking the metro to my grandparents' house. Sometimes I do try to get as far away as possible in order to imagine that I lived a different kind of life. I've done this on remote islands between Sao Paulo to Río de Janeiro, traveling the Río Dulce from Livingstong in Guatemala or even in my favorite corners of London.

That's very difficult, there are too many to choose from.
